CONVIVIAL SEND-OFF. A large number of the staff mombers of the Agricultural Department assembled at the Hotel Cecil last evening to bid a joint farewell to Mr.'Caddie (Dairy Commissioner) and Mr. Reakes (Assistant Chief Veterinarian) , who will leave on an official visit to London, via Sydney, by tho s.s. Victoria to-morrow. Their doparture marks now developments at .the Home end of our meat and dairy produce industries, for they will inaugurate, 'as already sot forth in ' these columns, Home inspections. The two offi- • cers are exceedingly popular in and out-of the service,' and the movoment to give them a convivial send-off was generally welcomed.' The function was of. a private liature,
