WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
The Wellington Presbytery met yesterday. There were present: The Revs. J. M'Caw (Moderator), J. Gibb, D.D., J. A. Brown, J. ( Kennedy E'liott, P C. Rennio, L. Thompson,' ,W. Marshall, J.- l'aterson, W. Douglas, W. J. Comrie,-A. .Thoriipson,'R. Inglis, and W;' Shirer, and Messrs!.- J. G.' W. 'Aitken, 'M:P:;' and Allen: , ! A favourable report " was received from the ; Eev'.' -W. Douglas on the new suburban charge. -; :; ' '. The Rev. 'R. Inglis was' appointed;treasurer ,' of the Presbytery Expenses.Fund.,. ~ It was reported that Mr. Shaw, home'mis- 1 sionary, had been-appointed to the charge" of the Upper 'Hiitt'. . . " , ...' ;.' ' '• The Rev. J.'Gibson Smith was appqinted, Moderator, for the.,ensuing ,t\yclve months.,. On the motion of the Rov.' W. J..C6riirio,'. seconded by tho Rev. Dr.' Gibb, it was re-! solved "That the Church Property Trustees be; asked to give,permission to the managers ,of the church at Lower Hutt to removo.the!'old schoolroom." , ' . The.Moderator having returned thanks,lor the assistance given him by members during his year'of office, the Presbytery adjourned.
