.:■' -, —4 _■:.■ ■ ; ANNUAL MEETING,. The annual meeting of the Wellington District Defence Rifle Clubs' Association was held at the Central Drill-shed last - night. Mr. F. J. Lissington presided. The annual report (already published) was adopted. Speaking to the motion for 'the "adoption of the report, the Chairman remarked that' one reason for the very small balance in hand was the fact that tho range telephones were working so badly that they were unablo to take many challenges, losing 'thereby a, source of revenue. Generally' speaking, however, tho arrangements for the rifle meeting , last January were very well carried out. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr.' W. H. Field, M.H.R.- (re-elected); president, Dr. Mason (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. F J. Lissington, W. H. Ballingcr, \\: J. Welch, F. W. Cpnnoll, W. H. Tisdall, W. A. Grace, W. E. Jackson,, and the. presidents of the Otaki, Lintoii, Par'aparnumu aud Wcrorna Rifln Clubs; council, Messrs. F. Wilkio.H. Marshall, W. E. Jackson, H. Hawthorne, A. Ballinpjer, J. M'Kay, G. Lacy, and F. J. Lissinc^ton ; executive council, Mossrs. F. Wilkio, H. Marshall, W. E. Jackson, 11. Hawthorne, A. Ballinger, and J. M'Kny; lion, secretary, Mr. C. Aamodt; , lion, treasurer, Mr. W. Judd; lion, auditors, Messrs. A. Hallinger and J. Burns. It was decided to hold the annual rifle meeting at Trentham on New Year's Day— aone-<lay meeting—the programme of events tob(fas follows:—No 1, Karori match, 200, 500, aiid 600 yards; 2, Potono match,- 500 and 700 yards; 3, Upper Hutt match, 500 and COO yard's; 4, Opaki match, 700 yards; 5, Grand Aggregate match; scores in the first four matches to count; 6, Teams' match, all scores at 200, 500, and COO yards ranges to count; Kolapore Aggregate, individual scores at 200, 500, and fiOO'yards to count. A vote of thanks to donors, the Press, and the Chairman terminated tho proceedings.
