The battleship Dreadnought, which was placed in dry dock at Portsmouth on Octo-' ber 12, had lior two rudders removed for examination by Admiralty experts, as galvanic action was suspectcd. The removal was elfcctod by the constructive department of the dockyard in under eight hours, which was considered rapid work. A great many internal alterations are being carried out on t-ho ship (states the "Shipping Gazette"), and a largo staff of workmen is coustantly employed on board.
