In the course'of his remarks ..'Mr,- Cohen emphasised the fact that .the .proposal bad no eoiihedliori with legislation or ty'registration of teachers, and- pointed out that at-, present over «C4oof> left the Dominion ai'inually in fees as tho .result of the raaminat'iori' opera!ions of the Royal. Academy and Trinity College, which .nioney, would. iu. time be , kept in' the country if a conservatoire were, established on the right, lines.
