OVERLAND TRIP TO AUCKLAND.
: $ _ A PARLIAMENTARY PARTY, (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, November 25. The members of the parliamentary party who left Wellington on Sunday morning by special train for Auckland arrived here auout ton o'clock this evening, after a pleasant trip in excellent weather. They enjoyed tho distinction of being the occupants of the first train to pass over the spiral line near Raurimu, which was only made available for traffic at the end of last week. The train ran. very smoothly djwn the curves. Tho members of tho party express satisfaotiou with what they could learn of tho "pro gress of the works, and state that they see no reason why the line should not'-be "completed as promised by the end of next year. The road over the gap between tho" r«3 heads is described as being in excellent order.
