Mr. Lloyd-George, President of tho Board of Trade, temporarily settled (an impending strike in the cotton' trade' at Manchcstor, affecting 10,000 operatives. He then motored back to London. During tho trip, a jolt 'threw him against tho glass window of the car, badly cutting his loft eyelid. The wound required several stitches. Bombay, November 25. The dismissal of loading agitators on the Indian Railways lias caused a renewal of tho strike, which is extending to the BengalNagpur lino. Tho Calcutta Press expresses sympathy with tho strikers.
