' '/•/• '' The Wellington Amateur Dramatic Society,, in its final performance of the mirth-provoking comedy, "Dr. Bill," on Saturday- evening, reached a very high 'standard in amateur theatricals. Encouraged by their two previous performances, the amateurs gave a really good interpretation of the popular, farce. ,The Opera House was fairly well filled, , arid-the'result should be a handsome contribution , ■ to .tho funds of the Shipwreck .Relief Society; under whose auspices the "performance'on Saturday was given. For her singing of "What's the Good' of-Living" and "Oh, Charlie," Miss Ida Berridge was . recalled. Remarkable feats of marksmanship—worth gojng a long way to witness—were performed by' Barnard and "Barnard. The act is such a clever one that numbers of people are unable to believe that.: the por . formers do not resort to trickery. That they .are entirely mistaken, will bo demonstrated at •a private exhibition one day this week. Ethel e contortion act,was both clever and interesting. Mr. A. L.
