EKETAHUNA LOAN PROPOSAL.
(by TEU3GRAPH—special correspondent.) Eketahuna, November 20. Considerable local interest was evinced it the poll to-day on the proposal to raiso a loan of £3000 for a borough electric lighting scheme. There was a fair amount of opposition to the proposal, as ratepayers considered that the Council should have submitted a water olid drainage scheme first. The result of tho poll was as follows:—For the proposal, 100; against, 60; informal. 1. It is considered probablo that tho light will, be switohed oil about May noxt.
