WOOLSHED BURNED.
According to advico received by tho police, a flfo ocoured in a woolshcd at liorokiwi, near Pahautanui, at i a.m. on Saturday last. Tho building and contents were valued at J812+2, and .nothing was saved. Shearing had been going on in thp) shed, but the shearers and workers left the building at 6 p.m. At 10 p.m. a man went into the shed nnd there was no eign of fire then. The outbrcalc was discovered at 4 a.m.,- by which timo tho flames were absolutely boyoid control. The flro started amongst some wool stored in tho northern end of the: shed. Tho origin of tho outbreak is not > known. This building was owned by Messrs. R. &nd N. Abbott. The following were the contents:—33 bales wool, 75 sheep, 60 wool bales, 1 wool press, 2 sets harness, o taddle, and seme sheepskins,
