The off day of tho Victorian Racing Club's Spring meeting did not differ from the others, inasmuch as the largest crowd that has yet assembled on Oaks Day was present. Tho sun was a bit on tho warm' side, but was tempered by a light southerly breeze. Although no vice-regal parties' were present, the society ladies congregated in a largo crowd, and the display of dressing was again most brilliant. Tho crowd in the betting-ring was, as on tho other days, bigger than in past years. Results: — NOVEMBER HURDLE RACE. Two miles. Mr. M. At the sheds the favourite ran into second place, and indulged lolairo with the lead- to the turn, where Master Foote and True Scot wore running together in the rear • of Mountain King. As tho bridge was passed, Juggle lead by a quarter of a length from Vaporizo and Maltine.' At tho far turn, Vaporize once more took up tho running, followed by Lady Diffidence, Maltine, and Juggle. Lady Diffidence and Vaporizo were racing together in the van as the fiold swept past the sheds, with Lady Rylstone coming fast. Lady Diffidence held her'own until the straight was reached, but Vaporizo was done with,- and then Lady Rylstone came at the leader, and, cutting her down without any great effort, won by half a length, a neck between second and third. The outside, courso proper, sand and tan wore all open, and very fast. Cadence ran six furlongs in Irani. 23scc. Carl Rosa easily held \Viiip\ma at tho end of seven furlongs, dono in lmin. 34 2-sscc. Necktio went sis furlongs in lmin. 18 1-osec—a good gallop. Tho filly has more than an outside chance in tho Guineas. Downfall made hacks of Dan Leno

and Haldano over a mile, run in lmin. 48 l-sseb., Lady Dot assisting over the first three furlongs. Tho Guineas candidate did very well. All the above worked the course proper. Cambrian and Pohutu, neither ridden out, covered six furlongs on the tan in lmin. 20 3-sscc. Chanteiise and Veronica were together at tho end of four furlongs on the course proper, their time being 51 l-ssec. Loftus went alone for five furlongs on the sand, his time being lmin. 4sec. Port Light occasioned. a lot of surprise by covering seven furlongs of the course proper in lmin. aoseo.,.badly beating Lady Regol.-Tunewha's gallop was tho best of the season.
