Five hundred trade unionists at Everett, in Washington Territory, drove forty-ono Hindus into British Columbia, after demolishing thoir quarters. London, Novcnibor 5. "The Times" reports that Mr. W. L. M. King, Canadian Deputy Minister for Labour, is inquiring at- Vancouver as to the employment agencies, and their methods of organisation of immigration of Japanese. The earlier phases of the, British Columbia anti-Asiatic disturbances were marked by the driving of Hindus 'by Americans from Washington territory into Columbia. Again; the Vancouver rioters wore led by American labour agitators, according to the Seattle correspondent, of the "Oregonian." .The Hindus do not seem to have tho power of selfdofence shown by tho Japanese, and have fared badly all the time. These events aro all being noted in restivo India, as the following advice from Lucknow, dated September 11, shows:—"A feeling of indignation has beeu aroused in native circles by tho news of the attacks on Hindu mill workers at Bcllinghani, iu tho United States; and on, Japanese and Chinese at Vancouver, Tho hope is expressed that the Government 'will take effective measures for tho protection of British Hindus, in both Canada and America."
