TRAMWAY FIGURES.

NET SURPLUS FOR HALF-YEAR, £632, At the meeting-of. the' Tramways "Committee of the City Council on Tuesday, '. the following; report was submitted by Mr. Stuart Richardson, electrical- engineer of the city:— '"'l:have pleasure in presenting the audited revenue account and statistical returns of tlie operations" of the City Corporation' tramways for the half-year ■; ending September 30, 1907. The ..'city j traffic revenue' has increased from £44,152: for the' corresponding' period of last year to £51',' 961 this year, an increase of £7808, of which new lines (Kilbirnie): account for £5453 of the' ihcreaso'. The revenue from all_ sources has 1 increased from £44,987 to' £56,758, an increase 'on ...last' year.,.of, £11,771. . The 1 working expenses amounted, to '£38;588, as. compared l with *£31,745. last year, an increase of £CB4Jl.' The exccss of revenue over - working expenses'-' was' £18,169, as against; £13,241 last ! yoar, an increase of £4928.
