All records in herring fishing wero broken at Grimsby recently, when- two drifters arrived with their decks so low in the water ' as to ,be almost at the sea level, with, the weight of their, catch.. They were the Kestrol and tho Pilot Star, and in ono night's fishing tho Kestrel' took 260 erans,. or ÜBJ,UOU berrini|s, and the Pilot Star 250 oralis. Tho best previous record was 227 crans, caught by a Scottish boat two seasons ago.
