LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Christchorch, October 23. At Addington live stock salo market thero was a moderate ontry of stock, and a 'a'ir attendance. Beef was somewhat easior. Fat lambs sold at about tho previous week's rates. Store sheep sold well, and pigs of all classes wero very firm'. There was a limited demand for store cattle. Dairy cows met a dull sale. Thore was a small entry of store sheep, mostly hoggets and ewes niul lambs, and tuey met with a very good demand. There were 120 fat lambs penned, of very good quality,' and they sold to tho local trade at 17s. (id. to 21s. 6d. for best, and 14s. 3d. to 17s. for lighter. There was a small .yarding of fat sheep, including sovqral lines from the south, and thero wore a fow pons of shorn sheep. Thero was a good demand for primo sheep, and unfinished lots' were competed for by graziors. The range of prices was—Extra primo wethers 355:, prime 255. to 30s 9d., others 21s. to '>45., shorn wethers 21s. 3d. to 225. Gd., prime ewes 235. to 275. 9d., others 20s. to 225. The ontry of fnt cattle totalled 271, all being local entries, with the exception of one small lot /of North Islanders held over from tho orevious week.
