Mr. Norman Keir, who was until a week ago in : -partnership with Mr. Thomas Poyntpr in a general carrying business here, committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver in tho Domain to-day. ■ In a letter-to. his"landlady, ho stated that business worries had necessitated his taking an oxtreme courso; and lie also mentioned where his body would be found. - Deceased leaves a. wife and child.
Mr. Keir wa3 woll-known in shipping circles in Wellington, having been employed with his brother,' Mr. J. Keir, Customs agent, for somo years. He was a married man, about 29 years of ago. ' :
