WELLINGTON MENTAL SCIENCE SOCIETY.

The Wellington Mental Science Society held its first business- meeting in its new rooms on Monday, night. Thero was a good attendance. ..Mr., Goodman, D.P.D.S.IV, and Mrs. Goodman were elected' members. A very interesting paper was read by..Mr. Douse on " Influence of Thought." In this paper-he dealt with the power of thought, its effects upon our Jives for good or ill, according to the way it' Was used. ■ Ho said the day was not far distant when the science of mind control (mental scienco), now in its infancy, would take rank among tho exact sciences to bo formulated and studied, and would prove itself of iuestimablo benefit to mankind.- When men talk business together -they attract a businoss thought current of idea and suggestion. The better they agree, the more of this thought current do thoy attract and tho more they receive of idea and suggestion for improving and extending their business. In this way tho conference, or discussion, among tho loading members of the company, or corporation, creates the force that carries their business ahead, People should always send a sick person hopeful, oncouraging thoughts, and build an ideal of him or her in their mind as being sound and well, and thoy would then continually send him or her a_ lifegiving healing force. Many a physician of to-day, bright, hopeful, cheerful, and determined in mind, owed- his successful practice to the current of strong, hopeful, cheerful, vigorous thought ho. sent to tho sick man or woman, more than to tho medicine ho gave thorn.
