KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The fortnightly meeting of the Karori Borough Council was held last night, tliDro being present :—Councillors Murdoch (Acting-Mayor), Lissington, Spiers, Hammond, Weddc, Smith, Putnam, and' Clarke. Permission was granted to tho Karori Criekct Club to use the cricketpitches, which were placed at its disposal the previous year. The Town Clark, Wellington City Council, wrote intimating that tho reduction in the Karori tram service between 7 a.m. and 9 11.111. asked for had been granted. A letter was received from the Colonial Secretary notifying the incorporation of part of the Northland district within tho City of Wellington, as from October 1. Tho matter was referred to tho Borough Solicitor for an expression of opinion re. garding tho financial issues involved in tho trunsfur. Tho following accounts were passed for payment:—-Charges on General Account, £3W\ 17s Id.; Loan Account, jm 17s. 4(1.; total, JE-102 Ms. Sd. The reports of the Finance and Works Committees were adopted.
