Sudden Death on the s.s. Blenheim.
On arrival of the s.s. Blenheim from Blenheim at 12.30 this morning, Captain Watson informed the police that tho mato, Mr. John Croker, had died suddenly during tho voyage. Dr. Henry was summoned, and attributed doath to natural causes. After tho Blenheim crossed the Wairau Bar, the deceased went to assist an A.B. named Booth to shift sheep from ono pen to another. Without any warning he collapsed, having just previously referred to tho natural contrariness of sheep. It was at, first thought that ho had boon soized with a fainting,fit, but efforts to restore him proved unavailing. The lato Mr Croker, who held a master mariner's certificate, commanded tho ship Woathersfteld, which traded between theDoininion and tho Old Country, for a considerable period. Deceased, who was 62 years of age, leaves a widow and a daughter, who reside on Wellington Terraco.
