Bon Tillett from Melbourne to friends in England, stating that it is unwise for anyone to think of making a homo in Australia, whore the people grovel in tho throes of poverty, though nature is prodigal in her gifts. . Swoating, unemployment, and starvation rule with a rod that breaks hearts and lives, says Mr. Tillett, and "monopoly is Tsar." Tho land is monopolised, and. the gravest scandals occur in the administration of government land, while scores of thousands aro'unablo to obtain land.
