Mr. Keir Hardio, tho Labour member of the Houso. of Commons, whoso speeches in India havo been considered an incitement to sedition, has cabled •to tho "Daily Mail" that, after investigating'tho position, ho has conclutlecl that there is no sedition worth mentioning, and that with sympathetic administration and legitimate reforms tho agitation would speedily subside. Ho admitted statir.-; that tho prohibition of meetings, etc., reminded him of Russia, and that tho violation of Hindu women by Mahommedan rowdies reminded him of Armenia; also, that ho considered tho Colonial Govornment to bo the ultimate goal. Anything elso attributed him is, ho states, a fabrication. Tho "Daily Mail" considers that these versions aro only verbal modifications, and remarks: "Evidently Mr. Keir Hardio is not capableof weighing words or of understanding their real import.
