CAPSIZE OF A TRAP.

As Mrs. M'Donald, Miss M'Konzie and Mrs. M'Donald's two young children,' were driving at Kaurihohcre yesterday afternoon; the liorse took fright, and bolted, and the .vchiclo, coming in contact. with some obstacle, was smashed. Tho occupants were violently cjcctcd on to a heap of larg« stones. Both ladies wero picked up uncoil scions, and carried to Mrs. M'Donald's home, which was close, at hand. Tho children" marvellously cscaped from injury. Miss M'Konzie is suffering from concussion, but Mrs. M'Donald's con« dition cannot be determined for a few days. . ' '•" • . A BARQUE MISSING. Auckland, October 2. 1 The barquo Emprcza, owned by Messrs. J. J. Craig, Limited, of Auckland, is ■ missing, and some anxiety is being felt regarding the vossel and her crew. ' Tho barque, under; tho command of Captain Goortz, late of the Handa Isle, sailed from Auckland on August 19, and called-in at Whangarei, where .she loaded 320 tons coal for Kaipara. The barquo sailed from Whangarei .on September 6, and was sighted off Margonui on September 16 by Captain Mathieson, of tho•barquo Aldebaran, bound from Newcastle to Auckland. On Septom* ber 19, the. light-keeper •at Capa Maria, Van Diomen, reported that the fimprozn passed south at 1 p.m. on that date. No tidings havo sincfc then been received of tho vossel.
