Whai appears to be a brutal murder has taken pace at Bet Bet. The body of a miner named Frederick Lenzleman, who had been missed : or some days, was found by the police ii a shaft 60ft deep. The evidence given at the inquest on the body pointed to the fact hat the deceased had been thrown down thehole after being stunned'by a blow from a pck-handle ol some other weapon. The wife »f deceased, and a Chinaman named Ah Katt lave been committed by a Coroner’s Jury for he wilful murder of Rengleraan.
