Mr B. Hallenstein’s resignation as a member of the Board of Enquiry at Queenstown was accepted. Mr W. Bell applied for a license to construct a tail-race or drainage-channel, commencing at Shepherd’s Creek and terminating at his coal-lease, Bannockburn. Application refused.

Mr James Corbett requested that two acres might be added to his application for a coalmine at Cardrona. The matter was referred to the District Land Officer for his advice.

The .District Officer at Clyde transmitted the runholder’s. consent to the purchase of land on run 369 by Mr R. Bonnet for section 42, Block If., Teviot district, and Mr U’Ren for section 43 of the same block. The applications were approved. Mr J. S. Worthington, Provisional Trustee in Bankruptcy, Queenstown, asked to be allowed to withdraw his application for exchange of agricultural lease No. 362 c for deferred payment lease. It was resolved to obtain the opinion of the Provincial Solicitor. The Secretary of the Mount Ida Miners’ Association forwarded a resolution of that body, recommending,that a practical miner should be appointed on the permanent committee.—Noted.
