We have nothing of any particular info re3t to record from the Carrick reefs this W J The only washing up since our last issue hj, been that of the Star of the East's crushing, the Elizabeth's battery ; when, from 157 tons J stone, about 126 ozs. of gold were got. % same battery starts to-day upon another cnJ ing from the Star claim.—The John Bull (V pany are crushing a parcel at the Royal Stand* battery. The "cut-up" character of the Pm clay road renders the cartage of the stone a wm of great difficulty. Respecting the other P;J clay reefs, there is but little new. The Nil De perandum continue to send stone to grass • a Robert Burns purpose sinking a shaft; while tt Golden Gate are still driving. We again C that a battery is on the road for Pipeclay Gully time alone, we suppose, will set the matter« this oft-rumoured battery at rest.—-The Eli* beth Company have cut their shaft from ft tunnel, after driving some forty feet thrort hard rock. A fault or break in the reef appej to occur at the bottom of their shaft. The 1M of Cumberland Co. are sinking a shaft to enabl them to get out stone from a part of the re close on the western boundary of the Heart' Oak claim, and which has already been trie and proved by the latter company.—The R, ( Roy are driving at a depth of 80' feet, throtri a hard bar, in the hope of cutting their leader'. a depth from which they previously crusk stone, with a return of about 13 dwts. to ft ton.
