GIRL COVERED WITH SORES.

ZAM-BUK MADE SKIN QUITE CLEAR AND HEALTHY.

Parents cannot have a much greater trial than that of witnessing' the agony and disfigurement of children who are in the grip of some torturing skin disease. Zam-Buk has cured hundreds of cases similar to the following, and brought forth striking expressions of gratitude from parents. Mrs* Annie Hayes, 405 Boundary street, Spring Hill, Brisbane, says:— "My little girl, now aged .12, recently broke out in- itchy, sores all over her arms and legs, ami also on the face and upper parts of the body. I "The child suffered dreadfully with [the constant pain and irritation, and I couldn't keep her hands away from scratching at the bad places. As a result the sores became more inflamed, and increased in size until some were quite as large as two-3hi)ling pieces. In my endeavours to ease the child's suffering 1 tried almost everything that I know of, but the usual ointments and salves seemed quite powerless to bring relief.

"Then 1 heard about Zam-Buk and got a pot. The first few dressings of the balm soothed the child's skin wonderfully, and repeated applications horouglily cleansed the sores and caused the healing to start. " 1. only used Zani-Biik for a little more than a week, but in that short time eery one of the sores was cleared away. .Vow the child's flesh is linn and her skin quite clear and healthy again. We are never without a pot of Zam-Buk in the house now.'' Zam-Muk is always ready for use, and it never loses its remarkable soothing, antiseptic and healing power. Zam-Buk is excellent for bad legs, sore feet, ulcers, piles, ringworms, poisoned wounds, itchy rash, insect bites, heat swellings, cuts, bruises, sprains, etc. Is Gd and 3s Od of all chemists and stores.

The story of an impromptu "strike" which occurred in an hotel in one of the Southern towns was related to a Northern pressman by a business man. who gained the information first hand from one of the ringleaders in the affair. It was race time, and the hoL*I as usual was crowded, particularly the ' bar. The rush was accentuated through Mio action of one of the servants rendering himself incapable of duty, and to relieve the position a boarder generously offered his services to the licensee. The latter gladly accepted the proffered assistance, and asked the man to give a hand in the bar washing the glasses. The intrusion of the stranger into the sacred precincts behind the bar raised an indignant demand from the barmaid as to> his business, and the ' man jokingly but injudiciously remarked that he had been sent by the boss to watch the till. Throwing down her towel, the woman bounced out of the ] room, and calling on the other females in the house, they readily consented to ''down tools," and repaired upstairs. The licensee was naturally perturbed by the sudden development and in .remonstrating with the employees eventually ascertained the cause of the trouble, which was soon rectified. The incident, however, disclosed the fact that strike leaders are not confined to the ranks of the sterner sex.
