COLLIE CHAMPIONSHIP.
For some time past collie clubs in Otago have been considering the advisability of holding a championship meeting, and at the request of the Taieri Club a meeting of delegates from the various clubs was held in Dunediu on Wednesday night. There were present Messrs A. Scott and Walls (Taieri Club), Heckler (Clutha Club), B. Matheson (Strath Taieri), Inder and Culleu (Gore) and A, Cameron (Miller's Flat). Mr A. Scott was voted to the chair, and after the matter had'been discussed in a conversational manner it was resolved: "That a championship be held; that it be allotted to Taieri in 1914, date to be fixed at next conference; that the Taieri Club convene a meeting of delegates from all clubs willing to subscribe to the championship to draw up rules and regulations; delegates to state what sum their club was prepared to contribute towards-the championship." Mr Matheson gave notico to move at next meeting: <<That the championship bp open to all dogs in New Zealand that have won a first, secon'd or third prize."
