New Advertisements. WEDNESDAY, 4th DECEMBER. PAREORA LAND SALE. J. T. FORD & CO., in conjunction with Wright, Stephenson, and Co., and Maclean Brothers, Dunedin, have received instructions from the New Zealand and Australian Land Company (Limited) to sell by public auction, in Timaru, on Wednesday, the 4th December next, 6000 ACRES 6000 OP THE FINEST AGRICULTURAL LAND IK SOUTH CANTERBURY, being part of THE PAREORA ESTATE. 2500 acres of the above, or thereabouts, are situated in close proximity to the St. Andrew's Railway Station, on the Main Trunk Line, ten miles south of Timaru, and the balance, 3500 acres, about five miles to the westward of that station, within easy access of Timaru by. road and rail. With the exception of 560 acres in Native grass, all the-land is now under cultivation, including about 1150 acres under wheat crop 650 oats 54 „ barley 580 turnips 500 English grass 2500 acres^of tussock land, now being ploughed. To suit all classes of purchasers, the block has been carefully SUBDIVIDED INTO FARMS, varying in size from 20 TO 200 ACRES EACH, Affording opportunities rarely to be met with for immediate and profitable occupation. So far as practicable, the present live fences have been as boundaries, and many of the farms are already completely enclosed. A large portion of the land has FRONTAGE ON THE OTAIO RIVER, And in other cases permanent ci'eeks and dams afford an ample supply of water. THE PAREORA ESTATE Ts well-known as one of the earliest and choicest selections of freehold land in South Canterbury, and, as the portion of it now offered represents, for quality of soil, a fair average of the whole, the Auctioneers deem comment unnecesary, and would merely invite the attention of farmers desirous of acquiring REALLY GOOD AGRICULTURAL LAND in the highest state of fertility, none of it having produced more than one grain crop. At the late Timaru Show, the first prize of ten guineas and the Association's gold medal were awarded to wheat grown on this property, and the samples exhibited gave the astonishing weight of 69|lbs. to the bushel, which is a result probably unequalled in the annals of wheat growing in the colonies. Terms of payment are unprecedented^ liberal, and are as follows : — LlO per centum cash at sale L4O per centum extending over two years by instalments to be declared at the time of sale. L 25 per centum at the end of five years from date of sale, L 25 per centum at the end of seven years from date of sale, all unpaid portions bearing interest at the rate of 6£ per centum per annum, payable half-yearly. Lithographed plans will shortly be circulated ; meanwhile full particulars will be afforded on application to the Undersigned ; and for* inspection apply to Mr Andrew Turnbull, on the Estate. AT THE SAME TIME AND PLACE Will be offered— ALL THE UNSOLD SECTIONS in the , RISING TOWNSHIP OF ST. ANDREWS, which, consequent on the immediate set-: tlement of whole Pareora Estate by industrious farmers and their families, is bound to become one/of the most flourishing Inland Towns ih the Middle Island. \.:\ r . zy% tford.^Go.,, : 4 \. y.
