Pollock, to sell by auction, at Watson's Hotel, High-street, on Thursday, 28th November, at 2 o'clock, His freehold farm, - situated in the Popotunoa District, and within one mile of the Clinton Railway Station, containing 574 acres (more or less) of the finest pastoral and agricultural land in Otago. Twenty acres are laid down in English grass, and twelve acres in oats and potatoes, which will be given to the purchaser. The property is in the centre of the N.Z. and A. Land Oo.'a Merrie Creek Estate, and is well watered and sheltered, having about five acres of bush on it. It is subdivided by post and rail and post and wire fences into three paddocks, as well as being planted with live fences. The improvements are very complete, and consist of a well-built four-roomed house (in good repair), six-stalled stable, four loose boxes, substantial stockyard (capable of holding 100 head of cattle or 300 sheep), cowshed (30 x 12), half-acre garden and orchard. Also, Five of the most valuable sections in the rising township of Clinton (just opposite the railway station), being sections 1, 21, and 25, block XXII., and sections 3 and 4, block VII. On section 25 are erected a cottage and blacksmith's shop (with which will be sold the tools and goodwill of the business). The improvements consist of a four-roomed house (recently erected), four-stalled stable, loose boxes, and barn, three-horse power waterwheel, and stockyards capable of holding 200 sheep.
