The Post thus reckons up tho state of political parties at present. , The Minis- .' terialists are : — Messrs Baigent j Ballance, Barff, Bastings, J. 0. Brown, Oarririgton, "'; J. E. Brown, Bryce, Bunny, DeLautour, Dignan, Fisher, Gisborne, Sir Geo; Grey Messrs Hanlon, Hislop, Dr Hodgkinson, Joyce,. Kelly, Macandrew, Macfarlane, Montgomery, Murray, Nahe, Pyke,* Ree_, - Bourke, Seaton, Sheehan, Stout, Sw£hson, Shrimski, Taiaroa, Takamoana, Tele, Thomson, Turnbull, Wakefield, Dr Wallis, Wm. Wood, Woolcock, Barton, Green, ' Moss, Hobbs, Saunders, ; and Reeves ) &' ■ total of forty-seven. The Opposition comprise :'— Major Atkinson, Messrs Bowen, Beetham, Burns, Cox, Curtis, Sir Robert Douglas, Messrs Fitzroy, Fox, Gibbs; -DY Henry, Hunter, Hursthouse, Johnston, Captain Kenny, Lumsden, M'Lean,' Moorhouse, Captain Morris, Messrs . Murray, '. Ormond, Reid, Richarclson, Richmond,. Rolleston, Captain Russell, Seymour^ ; Sharp, Stevens, Tawiti, Tesohemaker, Wason, Whitaker, and Wifhams'; or a total of thirty-five. . The unpronounced members are Messrs Brandon, * Mandors, and Rowe. . The foregoing figures show that with forty-seven Ministerialj_3t& and thirty-five Opposition , there is a majority for the Government, of, twelve,, - leaving out of account the three uhpronounced. In the ranks of the Minis- >' terialists are : included the names of the seven new members who have been elected' during tho recess, who pledgedj;hen>selves to support Sir George Grey's policy ."'' These. are Mr Barton, Wellington City ;', Mr Moss, Parnell ; Mr Turnbull, Timaru ; Mr Green, Port Chalmers ; Mr -Hobbs, Franklin ; Mr Saunders, Cheviot ; and Mr Reeves, Grey Valley. The naihe of Mr Button is not included, in any of the., lists of members, as he recently resigned his seat.
