KAITANGATA.

A meeting of the Kaitangata School Committee was hold ia the schoolroom on Monday 'evening, when the following members wers present— viz., Mr W. T. Smith (Chairman), Messrs T. Si«iih, Aitchison, Hislop, Darling, Welsh and Shore. ' , The minutes of the previous meeting were read confirmed. Mr John Welsh t-nderod his resignation on account of his leaving the district. — Accepted. Mr Darling moved that Mr Shore undertake the duties of Secretary. — A'n'ejd to. * Ifc *was resolved that a pupil teacher be advertised for. It w-v*-* moved by Mr Shore that the teachers get a week's holidays at Ea.uer to allow them to attend the annual meeting of the Teachers' Institute. Seconded by Mr Ai's-Jiison and carried. It- was resolved thab a concert and soiree be hold oil Friday evening. 19th April, in aid of the school funds. Thore was no other business.
