Out of this sum we have expended on "teachers' salaries -61(59, and on repairs to building?-., improvements to school grounds, repairs to 'fences, &c , £51 16s 2d We have also collected from Ihe pupils attending the school the sum of £12 10s 9d for coals and cleaning, and on coals • and cleaning that amount has been -judiciously spent. We now leave to our credit £9 6s and a "few outstanding- accounts, tbe last remnants of demands by public schools, for our successors to "-collect. The total number of pupils that has attended 'the school during, the year is 210. the average -attendance being 133, and tbo pupils now upon "the roll number 169. Of these, 18 are be<jinner», 40 are in the first, 45 in the second, 25 in bhe "third, 23 in the fourth, 14 in the fifth, and 4 in *the sixth standard of the Government Syllabus.
