Hurdle Race, -800 yds . entries. Ist, W. Spence,. L 2; 2nd, D. Sheddan, Ll. Won by two yards, after a good race. Running 'High Leap. — Four entries, lst, D. Rheddan, 15s ; 2nd, W. j. Moore, 10s. This was certainly the best con tested jump of the day, and was reduced to a match between the two _ prize-takers. The former cleared sft, and took first place, Moore clearing only an mcli under — not a bad performance seeing tliat his leg had been badly bruised tho previous evening. Light Hammer. —-Seven entries. Ist, 20s, James Nicol, 78ft Bin ; Snd, James Bruce-, 7oft 6in. Youths' Race, 200 yds.— Six entries. Ist, 15s, Sheddan ; 2nd, 10s, Farquhar. The Highland Fling fell through for want of competitors. Vaulting avith Pole. — Four entries. Ist, D. Sheddan, 20s. Considering the state of the ground, the height jumped, Bft, was very fair. Putting the Stone. — Six entries. Ist, 20s, .Tames M'Kinnon, 27ft lin; 2nd, 10s, James Bruc-o. 26ft lOin. Quarter-Mile Handicap. — J. A. Anderson, (syds,) lst, L 2 ; James M'Neil, (scratch.) 2nd, Ll 5s ; W. Spence (scratch,) 3rd. This was a very good • race indeed, the three coming in vory close together.
