The Holidays.

CLINTON RACES. The Clinton annual races was held on New Year's Day on the Kuriwao Estate. The weather was all that could be desired, and- there were from 300 to 400 people present, including a good sprinkling of the fair sex. The different events were well contested, except the Hurdle Race, which was a walk-over for Romance. Mr Moffat's br m Jenny Lind (M'Donald) 1 Mr Dunne's c g Stranger (Dunne) 2 Mr Pollock's Phoebe and Telemachus also ran, aud Maggie and Romeo were scratched. Hack Selling Race, of 10 soys.
