On the motion of Mr Petrie, seconded I) v.Mr Smith, it. \vi\3 agreed that as M.V M'Donald had been absent from four consecutive meetings of the Council thai he should be ousted from the office. . ,>-.■-•■ A letter was read from the Kaitan-g-uta Road Boai'd, 1 informing' the Council that it intended to spend the sum of L3i an the river bank near the township''of Kaitang-ata. It was resolved' that the Toll house at Clarkesville should be repaired ; also, that the Council should connect the road at the Waihola Hallway Station, by forming- and metalling' it. Accounts amounting 1 to the sum. of L 555 10s id wei*e passed for payment. The Inspector's monthly report wasread and adopted. • . .- ' The receipts from tolls and gold duty durino- the last month amount to LlB9 l 3s 6d.
