Mr E. W. Capstiok reports having sold on Thursday, at South Tokomairiro, on account of Mr "W. Grant, who is leaving the district : — Sheep.— s3 cross-bred full-mouthed ewes at 10s 9d, 29 2-tooth ewes at 9s 9d, 55 Leicester lambs (seven months old) at 8s 7d, to Mr Thos. Howie ; two Leicester rams, at ] 2s each, to Mr Ourrie. Cattle.— Two cows, £9 15s and £8, to Mr Wm, Reid ; two fat steers, 3-yeaas old, at £5 17s 6d, and one heifer, two years old, to Mr Draper ; two steers, two years old, at £4, to Mr H. Murray ; one cow at £5 to Mr JR. Murray ; one eight months old Ayrshire heifer at £3 to Mr J. Bryce ; one six months old heifer at £2 7s 6d, two do., do,, at £2 5s each, three steers at £2, to Mr T. Howie. Horses. — One bay draught horse, £7 ss, to Mr T. Howie ; bay gelding, four years old, £36, to Mr D. Carson ; black draught mare, six years old, at £24, to Mr P. Murdoch ; bay filly, two years old, by Emperor, out of Paisley mare, £30, to Mr Snow ; six months old foal, by Marquis, out of black mare, £7 10a, to Mr Howie ; bay riding hack, £13, to Mr D. Carson.
