THE SUNDAY LECTURE AT CATLINS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sin, — In your issue, of February 2, I see a letter signed Alex. C. Saunders, referring to what he calls desecration of the Sabbath with tbe sanction of the School Committee. In the first place, the juvenile dictator, before he makes an accusation against men who have borne the heat of the battle, and spent both time and hard cash in the struggle, should, I think, be sure of securing a conviction. Now, I was present at the " so-called lecture," and as far as my feeble mind leads me, I am of the opinion of the majority of those present, that the lecture was really scientific and thoroughly orthodox. 'But the laddie's years, combined with his inexperience in the outside world, make him, in my opinion, no judge of such matters as the " fallacy of Spiritualism." I would most humbly : and respectfully recommend him to try his pen on the potato malady, uutead of trying to defame men,

all his seniors and some of them crowned with hoary hair. I trust that our noble youths will mind their own affairs and fences, and take the beam out of their own eyes before they start operating on their neighbours. — I am, &c, Truth.
