THE COMING SHOW.

(To the Editor of< the Clutha Leader.) Sir, — I was much pleased when I read the letter by " Exhibitor" in your paper last week. I don't mind telling you on the quiet that inconsequence of the confusion that sometimes occurs at the butter shows, I had made up my mind not to send my butter any more, and had stuck to this resolution notwithstanding the teasing I have suffered from my husband on the subject. After reading the letter, however, I have changed my mind, and will send ray entry money to the Secretary punctually on. Thursday night. ' I liope the other exhibitors will do , the same, sq that neiiher the judges nor the committee may have us to blame for their own softness in the future. If it is not managed satisfactorily this time I intend to get my husband to propose that the butter show be in future carried out under the management of a committee of ladies. Til guarantee we would stick to the rules. We always do. It's only you spooney men who cannot resist the irnpo'tumty of the ladies, whq oould, if they chose, make you break any rule ever you made. You know this is true, so you needn't put yourself to the trouble of denying it No one would believe you.— l am, &c,

Kate. P-S. — I forgot to mention that we have been speaking about this "prize for the 1 a dy's hack. If the young 1 adies of the Clutha do not turn out well, I'll bring my old mare out to the equestrian business myself. I've seen the day when I would not have feared a competition with any lady in the district; but I am not ashamed .to confess that both my hack and myself are getting a little stiff now. K.
