Britain is likely to recognise the Chinese Communist Gove.vnment next week despite the uncerj;ainty Which has developed from recent talks with Commonwealth and Atlantic Fact countries, according ko the Daily Mail's political corres- s pondent. This move in advartce of the Commonwealth Conference in ColOmbo, he says, would meart that Britain hopes the Dominions will not hold up recognition. United States action will probably be delayed.
