Bird's Unusual Death. Hhpleasant death came the way of a bird cheeky enough to alight on the hack of a sheep grazing on the Ohuriri Lagoon farm at Napier. When the Sheep was drafted into the yard along with other members of the flock, shepherds raised .their eyebroWS When they found a dead bird on its back. Its claws were compieteiy entwined in the dense wool on the sheep's back. Presumably the bird became trapped in this way and,- unable to free its clawS, suffered a lingering death.
