King Karouk Picks Another Wife
LONDON, Dee. 29. The Daily Telegraph 's New Yorb eorrespondent reports that King Farouk of Egypt, who is-now 29 years of age, is expected to rnarry the 16-year-old daughter of Narriman Hurrein Eadek Bey, until reeently secretary-general of , the Egyptian Ministry of Communications. King Farouk divorced his former wife, Queen Farida, only last year. She was before her marriage Mademoiseiie Farida Zulficar, daughter of the vicepresident of the Egyptian- Court of Appeal. According to the Daily Telegraph's correspondent, the King first saw Mlle. Sadek in November when she was taken by her fiance to Abdin Palace to secure the King's blessing upon their i marriage. The wedding was to have taken place on Becember 8 but shortly after the Palace visit, the engagemeut was broken. Correspondents of other Lbndon newspapers confirm the King's expected engagement to Mlle. Sadek. • J
