Moral Rearmament Play Next Year

WELLINGTON, Dec. 29.' The industrial play, "The Forgotten Factor, " will be presented in New Zealand early in 1950, according to an an- . uouneenrent made by the Moral Rearmament representatives in Wellington today. - • In August a number of persons in representative positions in New Zea--land approached the committee re- ' eponsible for presenting the play in Australia and invited the cast to visit New Zealand. The invitation lias been accepted and the cast arrives early in 1950 to tour the eountry. The committee said in their reply: "In Australia 'The Forgotten Factor' has been shown to Melbourne and Hydney audienees representing every sphere of our national life, and the construetive effect of its -deas has been t'elt

in Parliament, business, university, homes, and trade u'uions. 'The Forgotten Factor' is most. timely. It offers a working .answer to the divisions and materiali'sm of our age. It ean provide the Anzac part with inspiration of an ideology for Democracy to enable our two countries to shoulder our full responsibilities to the millions of Asia and the Paciffc. We are sure that the people of New Zealand will give this Moral Rearmament task force every support. ' ' The signatories to this' stament were Mr R. R. Broadby (the secretary ot the Australian Council of Trade Unions), the Hon. F. Bulcock (DirectorGeneral of Agriculture of Australia), I Mr G. G. Foletta (the governing direc»tor of Prestige, Ltd., and president of the Australian Industries Protection League), and the Hon. Sir Ueorge Knox (a member of the Legislative. ! Assembly of Victoria and a former speaker). It was stated in Wellington today that the New Zealand premiere of "The Forgotten Factor" was planned for the third week of February in the eapital city, but the ffual details for the tour had still to be worked out. A further announcement would be made later It was added that the cast and other, personnel who work to present tke play do so without salary, and normally tliere is no charge for admission. The production is supported by those who recognise its national significance.
