Diseussions on matters of mutual interest reluting to their business of listributing butter and cheese in the [Jnited Kingdom, are to be held in New Zealand sliortly between a deputation >f directbrs of the New Zealand Proluce Association aiul represeritatives )f their associated companv, the New iealand Producers' Cooperative Asso■iation, and of shareholding cooperaive dairy eompauies. It is also hoped "hau an exchange of views will take vlaee with leaders of the Dairy Indus ry on the probable trend of developnents in the trade. The deputation from the United lingddm will be led by j\Tr. J. S. Paterson, ehairman of directors of .he Vew Zealand Produce Association. Ither members will be Mr. A. Davies, i director of the English Cooperative .Vholesale Society, and Mr. T. N. Maxvell, manager-director of the associa'■ion, They sail in the Rangitoto on ranuary 3. Mr. Paterson is-a member of the manigement committee of the Butter and -heese Association Limited whose nembers are responsible for the first hand distribution of all butter and *,heese throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The Scottish Cooperative] Wholesale Society, of which he is also a director, eonduets an extensiv'e trade in Scotland and is. responsible for a luarter of the dairy produce and other ! ■ationed eommodities distributed north >f the Tweed. Mr. Davies has an intimate knowledge of the dairy produce wholesale trade in the United Kingdom, and Mr. Maxwell, wrho is a New Zealander, has pent the past 13 vears in this eountry actively engaged in the marketing of New Zealand butter and cheese.
