Horowhenua Cricket Reps. Play Drawn Game
The Wellington Brabin Shield cricket team played Horowhenua over the holidajTs, the two-day match resulting in a draw. The home side first innings yielded 124, E. Barraud, K. Hudson and G. Andrews being the -only batsmen to get among the runs. Wellington made the impressive total of 263, useful contributions coming from A. Cark (50) and C. Geddes (48). Horowhenua fared better in their second visit to the wicket, gathering 198. H. Rice (51) and E. Barraud (47) were top scorers, Left with 59 runs to get, Wellington failed to meet success in the remaining time, five wlckets ' falling for 35. Details: — WELLINGTON First Innings, A.
