Drowned Few Hours After Arriving Home

' TAUMARUNUI, Dec. 23. Joseph Koroheke, aged 19^ single, was drowned in the river at Ongarue yesterday afternoon. He had been working as a bushman on the West Coast of the South Island and came home yesterday morning to spend Christmas with his mother, Mrs. Tapatahe, at Ongarue. The river ran through the property at the baek of his mother's house and deceased was seen to go down to. the stream, where he apparently slipped on the bank and fell in to the river 15 feet be* low. Deceased disappeared and his body was recovered this morning by Constable A. J. Mpore, after j being located in a deep hole. 1
