Dinny Pails Praises N.Z. Tennis Stars

Received Friday, 11.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 23. It would take a top flight A'ustralian player to win the New Zealand tennis championship, according to the former Davis Cup player, Dinny Pails, who returned to Sydney after three months in New Zealand as a- professional coach. Commenting on the decision of the Australian Lawn Tennis Association to withdraw permission for Worthington and McGregor to compete in the championships, Pails said: "If Australia serids second rate jplayers they won't get near the final of the New Zealand championships. Geoff Robson, Ron McKenzie and John Barry are first class players who would extend Worthington at his best. I practised with all the leading New Zealand players and know their calibre. Worthington and McGregor were ideal choices." The Australian Association is now considering the selection of two players from Quist, Gilchrist, Long and McCarthy.
