Maori Slips Under Train
While attempting to boai:d a southbound mixed train at the Shannon railway station at 6.20 - p.m. last evening a Maori, John. Wereta, single, aged about 35 years, of Koputaroa, suffered severe Injuries to his right leg when he slipped between the platform aiid the moving train. He was dragged about 100 yards along the track before the train could be stopped. After' receiving medical attention he was taken to . the Palmerston North hospital. His father resides q,t Kuku, Ohau.
