Carols By Candlelight
AUCKLAND, Dec. 21. A setting amid the trees in Windsor Reserve, Devonport, has been chosen for the holding of a " Carols by Candleiight" service on Christmas Eve. A nativity play will be presented* on a floodlit stage and those who attend will be asked to bring a candle to Vse in following the song sheets in the dark. Combined choirs will take part. The Devonport Borough Council is sponsoring the service and the churehes of various denominations have agreed to assist. A tableau will be staged to 'show the story of the nativity, together with wise men, angels and shepherds.
