Hospital Cheer Street Day
W t It is most heartemng to find that in spite -of all the seasonal private calls on the purses of residents of Levin and surrounding districts, they are willing to help towards giving Christmas cheer to others. The recent street day for the Palmerston North Hospital cheer fund was well supported and the sum of £53 15s 4d was collected by the band of very able coljectors and organisers.
This sum will go a long way towards brlghtening the Christmas of those who have to be in hospital over the festive season, and whose thanks will be extended to the good-hearted givers and willing collectors. Special mention is made of the following helpers who rallied to the cause under the direction of the Mayoress, Mrs. H. B. Burdekin: Mesdames T. G. De Mey, F. L. Burnham, J. E. Moxham,* N. M. Thomson, K. Lynch, G. B. Stote-Blandy, J. S. Dickinson, A. W. Parton, R. A. Frederikson, E. C. Hamilton, J. M. Hopkins, W. G. Phillips and A. M. Stack, Misses Selby, Judy Todd, Mary -Todd and June Miiler, and >Me"£srs H. Harvey and Peter Young.
