Levin Fire Board Meets

A report on the state of the fire engine and of the repairs which had been carried out under his supervision was given by Mr. J. C Milnes at a meeting of the Levin Fire Board recently. The bdard agreed that in view of the fact that the engine was light of steering, it would be advisable to have a heavy iron bar attached to the front ibumper of the machine. The brigade superintendent, Mr. W. S. Salmons, reported that there had been three practices during the month and that the brigade had attended two fires. He added that the practices had been well attended.
